These Boots Weren't Made for Walking

But that's just what they'll do!

I do believe my boots may easily have been a contributing factor to my wreck this previous Tuesday. The excruciating horrors we will subject ourselves to for the sake of fashion!

The lovely leather duo were relatively inexpensive, but rather hard to navigate life in (especially considering the special circumstances of the day). After crawling out of my decommissioned motor vehicle, I found it difficult to stand without shaking to start. Stiletto heels in churned up mud did not lend any aid.

Needless to say, my feet were as banged up as my car by the end of the day and I have not found cause to wear my sexploitation footwear since. Perhaps it is because despite all the difficulty they have caused, they have succeeded in their purpose.

I'm almost ashamed to admit my cause for my snappy dress was not entirely work related and had very little to do with my presentation to my graduate level peers later that day. I really just wanted to make a certain man bemoan the day he didn't say, "I'm sorry."

It's undetermined if it really was the sexy boots that made him stop, or the fact that I was limping most of the day, or the simple fact I'd had a fairly bad accident, but never-the-less, he stopped and we talked and we're still talking. Happily. I think.

Yay for the Cinderella of women drivers. I heart this blog, by the way, and its lovely ending.
